Gym for pregnant women in Paris
Exercising while pregnant: it's possible and recommended
Contrary to common misconceptions, physical activity during pregnancy is recommended by healthcare professionals. It improves blood circulation, reduces back pain, helps manage weight gain, and prepares the body for childbirth. Yet many pregnant women hesitate to go to a regular gym: fear of judgment, awkward stares, unsuitable equipment, and crowded spaces.
This is exactly why Ma Salle exists. Our 50m² private gym at 12 Avenue de Wagram, Paris 17th (Metro Ternes, line 2), gives you a space that is 100% yours for your entire booking. Nobody watches you, nobody judges you, and you have full control over your environment.
Why a private space changes everything during pregnancy
- Complete privacy — you are alone (or with your companion) in a fully equipped 50m² space. No curious looks, no unsolicited advice.
- Your own pace — take your time between exercises, rest when you need to without any pressure.
- Controlled temperature — adjustable AC for your comfort, essential when your body overheats quickly.
- Impeccable hygiene — you are the only user of the space and equipment during your slot.
- Autonomous access — unique entry code, no need to interact with staff. Arrive and start when you are ready.
Pregnancy-friendly exercises available at Ma Salle
Our equipment allows you to perform all exercises recommended during pregnancy:
- Gentle strength training — light dumbbells (2-10kg) to maintain muscle tone in arms, shoulders, and back.
- Squats and pelvic exercises — use the power rack for support, ideal for birth preparation.
- Moderate cardio — elliptical or treadmill walking, excellent for cardiovascular health without impact.
- Stretching and prenatal yoga — floor mats, resistance bands, and enough space for full sessions.
- Pelvic floor exercises — in complete privacy, without embarrassment.
Safety tips for prenatal exercise
Always consult your doctor or midwife before starting. Here are some general recommendations:
- Avoid exercises on your back after the first trimester.
- Favor controlled movements and avoid jerky motions.
- Stay hydrated — bring a large water bottle.
- Listen to your body: if something feels uncomfortable, stop.
- Maintain moderate intensity — you should be able to hold a conversation.
